What is The True Purpose of Money and Why Do 95% of People Get This Wrong?
Most men get money wrong from the very first dollar.
They think the goal is more stuff. Bigger watch. Louder car. A wardrobe that never ends. A condo with a view they never sit and look at because they’re too busy working for it.
That’s not what money is for.
Money is for buying freedom. That’s it. That’s the whole point.
And freedom is two things stacked on top of each other. It’s the expulsion of every annoying stressor that eats your day away (silent killers), and the amplification of everything that makes you feel alive, smile, and look around at your life with appreciation and fulfillment.
If you understand that one sentence, you’ll never confuse a stressful luxury with a real stressor again.
Two Kinds of Stress - What’s the Difference?
There’s good stress and there’s bad stress. They look the same from the outside. They feel completely different from the inside.
Good stress is building a hard business and going through the ups and downs because you know the outcome will change your life and the lives of everyone around you. Good stress is sitting across from a woman who is the one and working through a real issue because you both know there’s a way to common ground if you stay in the room. Good stress is a brutal training camp before you compete. Sparring rounds where you’re getting cooked. The ten thousandth cold call. Your first deal that almost falls apart at signing.
That stress builds you. You wouldn’t trade it because it’s the stress of becoming someone.
Bad stress is the hour driving to a job you don’t even like, and another hour driving back. It’s standing at the gas station for two minutes after sitting in traffic to get there, then mulling yourself back. It’s grocery shopping, then unloading, then cooking, then cleaning, then doing it all again on Sunday. It’s spending hours of your week handling things you don’t enjoy and never will.
That stress doesn’t build you at all... It just chips away at you slowly. You wake up at 50 and wonder where the time went. It went into traffic. It went into errands. It went into waiting in lines, being surrounded by annoying nobodies. It went into things you wished you could skip but couldn’t afford to.
The whole point of money is to delete the second kind so you have more energy and time for the first.
What Real Freedom Actually Looks Like
Freedom is getting your laundry done and folded by a delivery service that picks it up and drops it off folded for you. Freedom is groceries showing up at the door. Freedom is a private chef on Tuesdays so dinner with your woman doesn’t end with scrubbing pans at 11pm.
Freedom is your car serviced before you ever notice it needs to be. Freedom is a calendar without a commute or a boss. Freedom is opening your laptop when you feel like it, not when a Slack notification tells you to. Freedom is no alarm most days. Freedom is being able to fly out business class to any location at nearly any time, just because you felt like it.
All of that is you paying to eliminate bullshit from your life. Every hour you don’t spend stuck in traffic, dragging laundry up stairs, or fixing things you didn’t break is an hour you can spend on surfing, on a flight to somewhere new, or across the table from people who matter, laughing with an Old Fashioned and cigarette in hand.
That’s the math. You spend money on the things you wish you could skip, and you free up time and energy for the things that make you feel alive.
Then You Spend on the Things That Make You Smile
Once you’ve cleared out the bad stress, you have room for the good kind of life.
Real restaurants. The kind where the chef knows your name, the wine list is older than you are, and dinner takes two hours because nobody is rushing you. Vacations that aren’t just a beach photo dump but trips that change your taste forever. Skiing with your brother in the Alps. Renting a boat for the day with your three closest friends and the women and getting on the water before noon. Hosting dinners at your place with the people you’d actually pick up the phone for at 3am.
UFC events live. Soccer matches in cities where the stadium shakes. Boxing fights at ringside. Exclusive art galleries on a Wednesday night where the artist is in the room. A new hobby every year. Sailing. Polo. Fly fishing. Falconry if you’re feeling weird about it. Skiing in Chamonix. Diving in the cenotes. The kind of memories that play in your head twenty years later instead of fading like everything you scroll past.
This is what money is for. The lifestyle accelerator blueprint I broke down in The James Bond and Bruce Wayne Lifestyle Blueprint is the best way to speedboat your way into become the most interesting man in your circle in under 30 days. If your life could become 10x more fascinating and fun, you should read that. The answers are there.
The Two Pieces You Need to Plug Into
The sovereign architect builds the foundation with money. And before you master the money making part and reread this post to get clear on your bad stressors, and remove them… you will learn two things right now that make the foundation worth living in…
The first is a woman who’s actually worth coming home to. The kind who adds to the energy you fought all day to build instead of draining what’s left of it. If you haven’t found her yet, stop trying to swipe your way out of it. Quality women aren’t on dating apps and they’re not at the club. The IG Blueprint walks you through how to actually meet the kind of girl who has zero social media presence, doesn’t post for validation, and treats your home like a Holy Temple instead of another situationship’s. Read the IG Blueprint here.
The second is what you do once you have her. Most men get the woman, then go on autopilot, then watch her slowly check out over the years. Don’t be that guy. Soulsnatching is the discipline of becoming the man she could never replace, even ten years deep. The full system is in The Black Book. Specifically built for TFM subscribers who already have their woman and want to lock her in for life.
