Lessons on Achieving the Perfect Lifestyle and How To Begin Today
It is 8:36 PM on a Monday night, I just finished eating my first meal of the day, and as I just got back from a long swim on the beach with a friend I realized something pretty important.
One.
I haven’t sat down to write something for you in a long while.
Two.
I love the life I’ve built and you know what excites me more than ever?
Three.
I’m just getting started.
Therefore today’s blog is going to be about giving back as much. I’m going to spit out some thoughts that helped me achieve the “wisdom” I have acquired over the years and I will also tell you how I’m operating this summer to extract the most out of out life - and how you can too.
For starters, I have already written about what I believe is a good lifestyle in so many of my blogs, I honestly don’t even feel like tagging any of them in this. There’s a plethora. If you are new, just click my profile and have a field day.
But if you’re insisting on staying here and reading this through, I will reward you by giving you a brief day in the life of how I’ve been running my summer.
I wake up around 11 AM as I went to sleep around 5. Went out to a cigar bar in the city with a friend. We had far too many drinks than anticipated but that’s what happens when you’re having a great time.
I already looked up the weather for the entire week so I already know today’s a beach day as it’s beautiful out with not a cloud in sight.
But first - let’s wash up. Check stats on business. Reply to emails. Put out some fires. Then get some work in. Sometimes it’s 30 minutes, sometimes it’s 5 hours. Today it was 20 minutes as I was riding the wave of momentum of previous successful workdays.
Get my swim trunks on as well as my linen pants that I place in my bag. White t-shirt. Birkenstocks. Call an Uber to the boardwalk. Right before, I head into Starbucks for a black iced coffee and a bottle of water.
I head to the sand. The wet sand specifically, as grounding is important to me, and wet sand carries better grounding properties than wet soil does. And I start walking towards the sun as the waves wash by my feet and ankles.
It doesn’t take long for a big smile to hit my face as I walk by the hordes of retired folks sitting on their beach chairs.
Eventually, I walk enough and go for a nice long swim. Sometimes as long as 30 minutes.
When I walk out, I dry up, and walk back.
Then I head to the boardwalk for some oysters and an iced cold beer.
I enjoy this moment as it is about 3 PM and most people are counting down the clock waiting to get out of their workplace, and here I am enjoying the day like it’s one of a million.
I later come home to a nice cooked meal by my girl.
I then work some more, maybe watch a movie, or do whatever I’d like, and go to sleep to live another day.
Notice I didn’t say gym or kickboxing or jet skis or kitesurfing or mountain climbing or mountain biking or skiing or flying to another country on a day’s notice or swoop some girls at a locked down lounge.
And that’s because it was one of those days where there’s nothing planned and yet it’s still more euphoric than most people’s days on their vacation that they planned out a year in advance.
And therein lies a part of the “wisdom” I’d like to share with you.
The rat race isn’t just a W2 thing…
It’s a human nature thing.
We’re all just sniveling little rats, sneering through the jail cell at other cellmates and seeing what they’re up to, what color porcelain their toilet is, the size of their window, the crust on their bread.
And if you extrapolate it to a winner on paper - let’s say a man with 5M networth in liquid assets like SP500 for example…
He’s not happy at all…
He’s actually desperate. He’s starving. Salivating at the fucking mouth.
Because he sees the guy with 15M NW. Who just put a down payment on a $24M Hampton’s home that his wife showed him.
And the rat race begins. And it never fucking ends.
Because goal posts aren’t permanently set in the ground - they’re liftable and movable. And that’s one of the biggest reasons so many rich men are depressed or ran to the ground even though on paper they should be winning.
So what am I saying really?
That you should be a loser who lives as a monk in a monastery with no cool shit to do or beautiful Russian model girls to flirt with?
No, and if you thought I was going there at all you might be a fucking retard lol.
I think - “alfa wisdom max4000pro incumming” - the best way to learn from this little example here is that you should live life on your own terms WHILE working towards a future in a sustainable timeframe.
Let’s break this down even more granular.
If you have a goal of say 5M because you actually ran the numbers and you want this house that’s worth 3M in this state, and you’ll borrow against your 5M so you can put a down payment on this new home without selling your positions and continuously grow your NW while you spend 400k a year in lifestyle for you, your wife, your 3 kids, 2 cars, $6k/month rent, insurance, vacations, family, etc.
Btw, this is a small example of how I think you should run the numbers on your goals. It can get even more specific than this but with the help of AI, there’s no reason for you to not have a ballpark of how much money you think you’ll need to live a near endgame lifestyle in the next 5-10 years (all achievable in that timeframe too, btw).
That means you need to make approximately 9M because after tax it gets reduced to roughly 5M and then you have to incorporate lifestyle expenses and quality of living expenses for every year it takes you to hit this goals so it’s actually more than 9M so let’s readjust the numbers and blablabla.
I can keep going but I hope you get my drift right?
Once you understand your goal, and you hone down on it on a really clear level - you will then embark on this journey to achieve it right?
Well for this blog, we’re going to embark on this journey and go through 2 scenarios:
1) The wisdom you wish you had while you’re embarking on this journey to extract the most out of life while still being efficient in achieving your goals
2) The wisdom you wish you had when you finally achieved your 5-15 year goals to eliminate any downturn/depressive thoughts/hamster wheel BS
The Journey
I believe the journey is a glorious one and every one embarks on it - whether willingly or not is a different conversation.
When you find yourself on this journey, you will find yourself in many many many stressful situations. You will have a ton of ups and downs. You will be tested. You will be drowned in work and upset. You will miss out on a lot of events for the sacrifice of a greater tomorrow.
Because I know this as fact I have amended my lifestyle to keep this in perspective in such a way that I’m rewarded for it now. Not tomorrow. Not next year. But today.
Or at least this week.
And here’s how the philosophy basically plays out.
